Which phones and tablets run Summon, and what you need to take payments at the car.

Staff app

The Summon app your valets and managers use on shift.

iPhone: iOS 17.1 or later (iPhone XS / XR and newer)
Android phones: Android 9 or later
iPad and Android tablets: Run the app, but can't use Tap to Pay

Guest app

The app your guests use to request their car. Guests can also check out on the web, with no app to install.

iPhone: iOS 15 or later
Android: Android 5.1 or later
Web checkout: Any modern browser, no app needed

Tap to Pay

Take contactless payments on the valet's phone, with no card reader.

Tap to Pay on iPhone: iPhone XS or later — Stripe or Square merchant
Android: Not available yet. Use a card reader.
iPad and tablets: Not supported

About Tap to Pay on iPhone

Card readers

For chip cards, or phones that can't use Tap to Pay, pair a card reader with the Summon app. Each reader works with a specific card processor.
