Tap to Pay
Take contactless payments with just the valet's phone. Tap to Pay on iPhone works with a Stripe or Square merchant, and Tap to Pay on Android with a Square merchant — no reader to buy, carry, or charge.
Built into the Summon app on iPhone and Android.
Accepts

Tap to Pay on iPhone needs an iPhone XS or later and a Stripe or Square merchant connected to Summon. Tap to Pay on Android needs an Android phone with NFC and a Square merchant. Neither works on tablets, and chip-only or swipe cards need a card reader.
How it works with Summon

Connect Stripe or Square to Summon
Tap to Pay runs on your card processor. Connect your Stripe or Square account as a payment merchant in Summon. On Android phones, Tap to Pay needs Square.

Turn on Tap to Pay for your location
Open your location's payment settings, choose your Stripe or Square merchant, and check Tap to Pay.

Accept Apple's terms on iPhone
The first time Tap to Pay on iPhone is set up, iOS shows Apple's terms and conditions for an admin to accept. Android phones skip this step.

Take payment at the car
At checkout the valet picks Tap to Pay, and the guest holds their card or phone to the valet's phone — near the top of an iPhone, or the back of an Android phone. Summon records the payment on the ticket and sends the guest their receipt.
Reader or Tap to Pay?
Summon takes card payments both ways. Many operators use both.
