The Stripe Reader M2 needs a Stripe merchant connected to Summon. Summon pairs with Bluetooth mobile readers only — Stripe's smart readers, such as the S700, don't work with the Summon app.
How it works with Summon

Order the reader from Stripe
Stripe sells and ships the reader. Order it with the Stripe account you connected to Summon.

Turn on card readers for your location
In the Summon app, open your location's payment settings, choose your Stripe merchant under Credit card, and check Card reader.

Pair it over Bluetooth
Power the reader on, open the Card reader screen, and tap Scan for readers. Pick your reader by the serial number printed on its back.

Take payment at the car
When a guest pays, they insert, tap, or swipe on the reader. Summon records the payment on the ticket and sends the guest their receipt.
Reader or Tap to Pay?
Summon takes card payments both ways. Many operators use both.
