Fees
Fees in Summon provide operators with the ability to apply additional charges, such as convenience and re-parking fees, to parking tickets. These fees can enhance revenue and operational efficiency while offering flexibility to accommodate various scenarios.
Creating and Editing Fees
Fees can be configured and customized for each location to enhance operational flexibility and efficiency.
- Navigate to the Revenue section in the app’s main menu.
- Select Fees under the Payments category.
- Use the toggle buttons to enable or disable fees for the location.
- Enter the fee amount in the provided field (e.g., $5.00 for re-parking or $2.00 for convenience).
- Click the Update button to save your changes.
Operators can set up two types of fees:
Re-Parking Fees
- Purpose: Applied when a vehicle needs to be re-parked after it has already been checked in. This fee accounts for the additional handling of the vehicle.
- Setup: Operators can configure a fixed re-parking fee that applies automatically when a vehicle is re-parked.
- Application: Automatically added to the ticket upon re-parking.
- Manual Adjustment: Operators can remove this fee during checkout if it is not applicable to the situation.
Convenience Fees
- Purpose: Applied to online transactions, convenience fees can help operators offset payment processing costs and generate additional revenue.
- Setup: Operators can configure a fixed convenience fee for all online payments.
- Application: Automatically added to tickets during checkout for seamless billing.
- Manual Adjustment: Operators can remove convenience fees during checkout if necessary.
