The dock holds a Square Reader, so it needs a Square merchant connected to Summon. The reader stays paired with the valet's phone over Bluetooth, so keep that phone within range of the stand.
How it works with Summon

Order the dock from Square
Square sells and ships the dock. The Square Reader is sold separately.

Set up the Square Reader in Summon
Turn on Card reader for your location's Square merchant in the Summon dashboard, then pair the reader from Card readers in the Summon app.

Dock it at the stand
Place the reader in the dock on your podium. To keep it charged all day, run a USB-C cable to it — the dock doesn't charge the reader.

Take payment
Guests insert or tap on the docked reader at the stand. Summon records the payment on the ticket and sends the guest their receipt.
